Dear friends of Ruskoka,
We were sad to learn that Galya Protasievna Aliakrinskaia passed away early this morning. She had recently celebrated her 85th birthday.
Our «Baba Galya» was a Ruskoka volunteer and ardent supporter. She spent three summers (2007-2009) volunteering at Ruskoka Camp. And, she was a kind and caring babushka to all of the camp children. She was also an active volunteer in the church sisterhood. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A Panikhida will be served at the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church (23 Henry St.) in Toronto this Saturday, February 4, 2011 at approximately 10:20am (immediately after the Liturgy to St. Xenia).
The funeral service will be held at the Our Lady of Smolensk Church in Jackson’s Point on Monday, February 7, 2011.
