Leadership Workshop
Want to be a Ruskoka Camp Counselor? Are you 15 – 25? Would you like to meet counselors from our sister camp in Chicago? Our fifth annual Leadership Workshop is on June 18th – June 21th, 2010. The cost of the workshop, food, activities, accommodations, lecture material and meals for the 4 days is only $50, which you will receive back if you are a counselor at Ruskoka this summer! Camp Registration

July 25th to July 31st, 2010 – Session #1: This one week session is planned for a smaller group of slightly older campers (both girls and boys aged 12 to 17). The program will include team building activities and wilderness training. Registration is limited to 30 campers, and currently, more than half the spots are registered already. The early-bird registration fee (paid before July 1, 2008) is $250 for campers (13-17) and $125 for pre-approved Jr. Counsellors (age 17). Pre-approved Sr. Counsellors (age 18+) are at no cost. The regular registration fee (after July 1, 2010) is $350 for campers (12-17), and $175 for Jr. Counsellors (age 17).
August 1st to August 14th, 2010 – Session #2: This two week session is the full two week camp program for campers (both girls and boys aged 10 to 16). The program is designed to suit all campers. Registration is limited to 65 campers, and we already have 50 children registered. Only 15 spots available. The early-bird registration fee (paid before July 1, 2010) is $500 for campers (10-16) and $250 for pre-approved Jr. Counsellors (age 16). Pre-approved Sr. Counsellors (age 17+) are at no cost. The regular registration fee (after July 1, 2009) is $700 for campers (10-16), and $350 for Jr. Counsellors (age 16).
Camp Volunteers
Volunteers are the success of Ruskoka Camp. Many of our campers would not be able to go to camp were it not for the efforts of many dedicated, hard working volunteers. Join us this summer, for a week or two, and help us create the experience of a lifetime for our future generation. We particularly need help with:
Camp kitchen! No previous experience required. Help with preparing meals, serving, and cleanup in the modern, well-equipped camp kitchen. For a satisfying and fun summer experience, join the kitchen team!
Camp activities! We need volunteers to teach classes (Russian language, history, religion), conduct choir rehearsals, plan and rehearse Russian plays, and organize talent shows.
Camp maintenance! We need help with general repairs, fixing camp equipment, and general physical labour around camp. Always a fun project to do.
Please tell us what you would like to help with and which weeks you are available.
Work Weekend and Construction Volunteers
This summer, we have many projects at camp. Our next work weekend is in just 1 week, on June 5th and 6th, 2010. Indoor accommodations and delicious meals are always provided.
