Dear Ruskoka Camp Volunteers,

Thank you to the 11 volunteers that came last work weekend: Nika, Victor, Kira, Natasha, Sergei, Petya, Roma, Sasha, Misha, Victor, and Alik. We got a huge amount of work done: cleaned up broken branches and cut up many trees damaged over the winter, cleaned out the flooded basement and moved furniture to the pavilion, cleaned up the garage, and opened all the buildings after the long winter.

Join us! The next work weekend is only in 3 days !! May 9 and 10, 2009. Don’t miss the fun.

Some of the things we plan to do this weekend, and following work weekends…

–          clean up the house basement and start removing drywall

–          cut trees, clean up branches around property, rake leaves

–          clean up the chapel after the construction

–          clean up the new camp bathroom

–          plan water system for camp bathroom, meet with well driller

–          check house drainage pipes and excavate more pipe if needed

–          connect outlets and light fixtures in camp bathroom and finish electrical wiring

–          connect outlets and finish wiring in chapel

–          cook food for all the volunteers, clean dishes, clean the house…

–          and lots of other fun jobs…

A number of us will be arriving late on Friday evening.  Please let me know if and when you are coming this weekend.
